A striking vision of a futuristic Moscow involving a mysterious box, a unicorn, and a robot with chinois porcelain detailing in a thrilling cycle chase. Directed by Carl Erik Rinsch and was originally part of the 2010 “Parallel Lines” campaign by Philips that helped to promote some of their products. It garnered critical acclaim and apparently prompted a bidding war from major Hollywood studios to turn it into a full feature. No word on yet on the status of that. Currently Rinsch is in post production of the upcoming 47 Ronin movie featuring Keanu Reaves due out this Christmas. More info regarding “The Gift” short here. (via Screenrant)
