Last week marked the 45th anniversary of the sci-fi classic Silent Running. Originally released on March 10, 1972, the film was a major influence in the making of Analog 03. Director Douglas Trumbull had previously worked as a special effects supervisor on 2001: A Space Odyssey, and several of the artists that worked on this film went on to work on Star Wars.
